Hello all..yup it's back..so here's the latest..tnx to gud friend Tom W0TDH who keeps me informed via e-mail as to what he's hearing on 10mtrs and because that CY9C DXpedition was causing a BIG time stir..I decided to slide the dial up to 29.000 and take a looksee..this was at approx 1800 UTC yesterday the 12th..well well there's John G3YPZ calling CQ CQ on 29.000 AM..I went back and we settled in for a FB 20minute plus QSO..I had to cut & run due to our shopping time for the XYL & myself..but John kept calling and I really don't know if he hooked up with anyone else.?.most likely though..he was running his EU model DX-100 and using his K3 as rcvr..signals on both ends went from 5/4 to over 5/9..earlier I did hear old time AMer Rick VE6CQ holding court on 15mtrs at 21.318 SSB..he e-mailed me and said he wud try 10mtrs on AM maybe...
So guys & gals der ya go..the "inside scoop" and it ain't no BS..it happened ! gud luk ! 73 de DAVE WB1EAD

Yep, the band was really hopping yesterday. I regret not thinking of making a post here then. I worked Slovenia with my trap vertical antenna, 5 X 9 report, Janez gave accurate reports.

When I listened to 29.0 - 29.1, I didn't hear any AM activity.

Hello Dave!
Some stations and me heard you talking on 29030 khz in AM.
I am thinking about the time Huh

It must be around 17.30 hour Summertime by us, that is 15.30 GMT time.
I heard you sometimes very good on my own radio: Kenwood R 5000.
And I listen in our livingroom.

But evenso on my pc (old laptop), by a webreceiver I listen to these:

http://173.48.189.54:8074/
KiwiSDR: Software-defined receiver
ASHLAND MA USA | Grid FN42FG
, ASL 90 M, [map], SNR 25/17 dB
Antenna: MAG LOOP 80M DIPOLE

Hi, hi.... Cheesy
On my radio I heard Dave, WB1EAD

And on the Kiwi SDR in the USA: John Petters, G3YPZ
From the UK (England)

I were wondering how good I could hear mostly both stations!
Dave good by me, in The Netherlands...
John good on the webreceiver in USA...

A very nice qso! Wink

I were only listening, while we drinking coffee...
We were just at home from shopping....

Greetings,

Henk / pe1mph

Been pointing the Northwest on 10 meters AM trying to make contact (or at least hear someone) from the Far East but haven't had much luck. Still haven't heard anyone from Australia or New Zealand on 10 AM this cycle either. Working Europe on 10 AM is easy when the cycle is climbing or descending. Not much of a challenge unless you're only running milliwatts of power and/or just loading up a tree trunk.

I live in the Pacific NW and I'm  hearing the AM Euro stations  and I hear the east USA stations working them.  Propagation hasn't been good enough for me to get many calls thru to europe yet on AM. I haven't made a VK or ZL AM contact altho they are strong on SSB.  Japan is strong on SSB, but no AM yet.  I have worked a few AM USA stations.  I'm on the band every day now.   Steve

Great chatting with you yesterday, Steve. How was your lunch? Smiley
