You Do It was a necessary stop for those of us who had occasion to visit the Boston area..  They had parts and tools and chassis components..  much of what was needed for the active homebrewer, all over the counter.  Those were good times !  But now we have online commerce and the Big Brown Truck although that incurs a delay of a few days.

I wonder if a 'photo essay' could be done, like the various customer-made web pages showing, with dozens of pictures, a snapshot of the items offered at the time?

You Do It will be missed, but their stock of thru-hole components was slowly shrinking, both in number and variety of values. For example, the last time I was there several months ago, they discontinued stocking mica capacitors. So if I could not be sure of getting something I needed there, I would not bother to make the trip, and instead would buy it off the internet. This is how a lot of brick and mortar businesses are dying.
