Hello AM Lovers,
Yesterday, Sunday 15 dec, my wife and I drinking tea in our livingroom.
On TV a Football game FC Twente - FC Groningen
I am happy, FC Twente has won....

But evenso I had my Kenwood R 5000 on, not to loud on the background.
Some times I turn the tuning knob.
I heard many AM stations from the Usa, yes plenty!
But one man were so strong by me.....
Hi, hi.... I have take a look true our window, perhaps he is near our house.... hi, hi... Roll Eyes

Who I heard very good, strong on 29030 khz: Chuck K1KW!
The S-meter on my Kenwood were standing a few times over S9!
Incredible so good to hear Chuck voice, yes he can talk....
But I like it, he told about his antenna with a boomlength from 6 meters.

When Chuck were Off Air, I heard more stations on Ten Meters.
Sorry I have not note all calls, but....
On 29010 I heard evenso an AM station, but that signal has many fading.
I am sure about his call sign: N3TBW, for me a new call on Ten Meters.

Oh by the way I have already sent Chuck a little recording.
Made by my mobile phone.
A friend from me, Marcel, from the Island Ameland made evenso a little recording.

Greetings,

Henk / pe1mph
Dokkum / The Netherlands

I also heard him, in New Jersey, which is rare considering we aren’t that far apart. 10mhas been in very good shape this week.

Yes, sometimes very good conditions...
Last Monday afternoon I heard no AM on Ten meters.
Evenso the repeaters on 29.620 and 29.640 were very weak by me.

But who I heard later 'suddenly' on +/- 29.002 khz in AM?
Tim WA1HLR, but not strong!
Very strange.... because I did only hearing him, no others in AM....
I made a little recording with my mobile phone.
Sorry, the quality is not good..... because his signal were weak.

Greetings,

Henk / pe1mph
