Many, many moons ago I had a few QSOs with Mo W5KD (SK) on 10M AM.   I was on my 5100B and he was on his nice sounding 5100.

During one of those conversations I told him I had a 5100 awaiting restoration and he told me the audio mods he did on his 5100.

I wrote them down (many, many moons ago....) and I'm pretty sure these are what the mods are:

C46: Change from 0.001 to 0.005
C47: Change from 50 pf mica to 0.005 disc ceramic
C48: Change from 0.001 to 0.027
C51: Change from 0.001 to 0.033

C53: Change to 50 uF 25 (or 50) V

Put 50K (2 100K 2W in parallel) across secondary of T1 and T2.

Connect Pin 5 and 6 of V11 (6AQ5).

Recently I emailed Jim W5JO and he remembers the mods, but isn't completely sure as I'm not, especially about connecting pins 5 and 6 on V11.

I've been using my 5100 on CW for a while with the modulator out awaiting modification, and it's time to get the radio back together again for upcoming 10M AM fun.

Thank you!

C46: Change from 0.001 to 0.005 (OK)

C47: Change from 50 pf mica to 0.005 disc ceramic (No, 100 pF is better; 0.005 is too much)

C48: Change from 0.001 to 0.027 (No, 0.01uF is better)

C51: Change from 0.001 to 0.033 (No, 0.01uF is better)

C53: Change to 50 uF 25 (or 50) V (OK, 25 volts is sufficient)

Put 50K (2 100K 2W in parallel) across secondary of T1 and T2. (100k across both secondaries is sufficient).

Connect Pin 5 and 6 of V11 (6AQ5). (I would leave as is).

Just looked at my 5100B schematic and all caps on the modulator are listed as C401-c410 so none of these  values cross reference.
Is there a couplate in the schematic that you’re using as a reference?

You have to use the B&W 5100 schematic NOT the 5100B.
