Heard Dirk on 7290 today, but didn't hear anyone answer his CQ.  I was working with an ear on my radio, so I couldn't jump in and say hello myself.

I am very glad to hear that Dirk is still shining his light on the ionosphere! I first met him in 1975, first QSOed in 1973.

Yup the Dirkster just got back on the air last summer after a few years off chasing Big Foot or UFO's up there in VT Grin Grin I really don't know what he was doing but I think if I were to guess, it would be that he was working with some issues with family members getting on in years?
