I made several contacts last night--band was opened until around 10 pm EST or so.  Worked a few NY stations from Florida (KD2AFL and AB2KC).  I also made my way into MA and briefly spoke to W1GFH who was running 20 watts.  Ended the night with KB3RHR and N4RXV.  I was running a Lettine 240 and my homebrew 2x813 amp (105 watts or so).  Antenna is a doublet matched with my homebrew balanced L network tuner.  Glad to the band was cooperating and look forward to hearing more AM on 40!

Nice setup. Love the Atwater Kent knobs on the amp!
