Blast from the past here?

Oddly enough I just had my hands on a transformer i bought from Gary a couple weeks ago.  Big 7.5V unit for a 4cx5k.

Odd timing?   Wonder who got access to his account?

You said: "I just had my hands on a transformer i bought from Gary a couple weeks ago"
I'm confused; if he was a SK, I didn't know SK's had access to the Internet and even more important, how did he get the transformer to you. I didn't know we had shipping services between the afterlife and the active-life.

Your initial post above is dated March 30,2021.
Pull this piece below from his QRZ bio which is drawn from the FCC database. Check the dates.

Wierd.

The original post i quoted is no longer available, but it listed gary as being sk.

I just looked and in 2023 his wife passed and he was listed as surviving her.

And a Gary Brown is selling wood planking 2 days ago on Facebook marketplace at his listed address.

Someone deleted the original quoted post, but its still out there.

Seems like he's NOT SK though, according to his recent Facebook activity.

Anyway.

It was most likely removed when it was determined the post was bogus.

It one is going to post a SK announcement, proof is important. Obituary issued or you went to the funeral, etc. "Reading it on the Internet" and re-posting by someone, with no proof, is questionable.

Honestly, so is posts that just disappear (appearance of questionability).

The correct way would have been on the original post to edit it to be untrue.  Otherwise you end up with posts that link back to broken stuff.  Not just for SK, but for the most part tons of links are beoken over the years because people dont or wont edit.

Should be easy enough for an administrator or other to look uo what happened to the post.  Boards ive moderated all had the ability to see deletes and removals.

Anyway.
