The 610 from the C model on were pretty much done above 18 MHz. I did however operate my BC-610D on 17 meters but only as a test. I never spoke to anyone on that band with it.

I don't think that a 610 would put out very much power on 21420. On 17 meters if I remember correctly, I only got about 125 watts output. One 20 meters it will put out about 150-175 watts on AM. To make it work on 21420 you would have to modify a tank coil, a tuning unit and perhaps remove some plates from the tuning capacitor?  I think you would be lucky to get 100 watts out of it on 15 meters? I have one tuning unit that someone modified for ten meters and I also have a coil modified for ten meters. I guess someone had a 610 working on ten meters but at what power?

There may be others out there who have gotten higher power out of their 610's at the normal plate voltage of 2000 volts? I would like to hear from anyone who has done so.

I hope this helps answer your question?
