10 meters on the ft8 portion has been open every few days for a short period of time.
I usually jump to AM but not a squeal or anything. Perhaps checking above on ft8, jumpe to 29005 and give a call, just takes a minute.

Both 6 and 10 meters have been open almost every day somewhere in the U.S. since early May.
As I type, 10 meters shows lots of activity: https://www.dxmaps.com/spots/mapg.php
I have yet to hear any AM around 29.0 MHz. Even the SSB is sparse. Everyone seems to doing the diddly - diddly on FT8. Don't have to talk or even grunt - just watch the screen and nod contact acknowledgement.

I head some SSB on 10m on Monday. I called CQ on 29.000 for a few minutes and didn't hear a soul. I've had success on days I thought the band was closed so don't give up.

Great observation Pete, you don't even have to grunt! After all is configured you don't even have to touch a keyboard or the radio except to turn it on. Just jiggle the mouse a little. TOO EASY. Its the end of radio as we know it. Undecided  Maybe what we need is better band conditions. But 10 is a great local chatting band too. Ugh. Ugh.

10m is open right now... heard someone calling on 29.000 MHz a few minutes ago on my online SDR... too weak to catch. 29.600 FM is active as well as a few repeaters.

Just had the pleasure of making my first 10m AM QSO with Dale KW1I.  Also heard KB1DX.  Both were loud and clear here in central NC.

The band is still open!
