It’s been probably five or so years since I last had an AM transmitter on the air. I had a TX-1 Heathkit that I used to use, but sold everything off and went on a hiatus. Now I’m back with a heavily modded Johnson Viking II. Made my first two contacts last night on 3.880. Surprisingly I didn’t hear very much activity?

Your best isn't as good as you can be.

Welcome back!

Stick with it, 75M has been 'going long' in the early evenings many times but its been holding pretty strong during the day for local work. Timing is everything.

Yeah I’m pretty excited. Going to try and do as much AM work as possible to get back into the swing of things. My house is pretty darn cold, so warming up the boat anchors is a good excuse!
