My virus software is blocking that page as dangerous.

Could you just tell us what the subject is?

Your photo is of a 'curtain array" transmitting antenna.

-VOA used to have a transmitter site on Cyprus.  I don't know if that is still true.

this antenna is part of the british military presence on Cyprus. It's about 15 years old. Not very stealthy...

I saw nothing there but a notice that nothing is there. I do something wrong? My computer is fussy about scripts and weird stuff, ignores/blocks it so I don't get bad things. Maybe visitors only get to see the images after the PC opens wide and gobbles up the malware! MOOOOHAHAhahahaaaaa!  But I would like to see the curtain and other fun stuff.,

wow... malware is bad.
if anyone gets a warning, please let us all know!!

It's got a lot of info on the infamous "numbers" and "letters" and repeating word signals.
Clips, and other stuff like it.

And yes that is the Cyprus location, with other pix, and pages and pages of other sites and stuff.
As I said "general interest", if such things interest you.

But not worth malware. Sad

OK, so it's on RAF base at Akrotiri.

The BBC has their World Service "Limassol" relay transmitter actually located on RAF Akrotiri.   Likely this is the BBC antenna.

It doesn't take a fraction of that...  I could bring a date home and show her the ham shack. While she's figuring out whether to scream or run, I tell her I repeat the infamous word signal "N1BCG" on the air every 10 minutes and that gets others to say their codes.

I'm sure I'd hear something like "Who the hell are you?"

Not exactly the groundwork for an enjoyable evening...

Bill -QAA and all...
The BBC Middle Eastern Relay Site is not on Akrotiri.  It is (was) at Zygi, a bit east of Limassol on the coast.  I was there for numerous long stretches 10 or 12 years ago and tuned many of the 28 HF curtains that we replaced.  It was a lovely site, right on the Med, with curtains covering all the compass directions.  After we did all that nice work, the BBC decided that the internet and satellite downlinks to local FM stations are the way to go, and that HF was too expensive.  In the intervening years, they have pretty much dismantled the Zygi site except for a big MW transmitter.  I'm not sure of the current status of another site at Cape Greco, further east almost to Larnaca.
That MW is a blowtorch.  If I left a 50 foot extension cord laid out on the ground, unattached to anything, and was forgetful enough to pick it up by the male end, I could plan on an RF burn from the induced ground currents.  I ran 50 to 100 watts out of my network analyzer, a custom setup to beat down the RF from the adjacent 300 kw transmitters banging away on site. The site crew was cool, a mixture of expat Brits and Cypriots, and the seafood was great.

My Malwarebytes bit the dust on that site. Does anyone have a clean link?
