Has anyone heard WA2CYT lately.  He was on after his sickness, but has since faded away.......

Kevin,

I was wondering the same thing. I have not heard him floating around at the top of the 40 meter band in a long time.

No signs of Dirk on 40m since last spring. Hope hes doing alright. I can hear him here even when 40m conditions are lousy.

I've been wondering about him too. He used to be a fixture on 40 meters on the weekends. Can't think of the last time I heard him, but it's been a while.

I sent him an email based on the email address he has listed on QRZ.com.  If and when I get a response, I will pass it along.  Alternately, I could send him a SASE and will do that if I don't get a response to my email in a week or so.

Hi Joe -

How about a quick phone call?  I called him last January to be sure he was OK after his accident.

His number is public info on the web.
802-326-470X   Just to avoid robots, his last digit is the first number in "Best Regards."

Give him a call. I'm sure he'd love to hear from you.

Use an "AM Courtesy Filter" to limit transmit audio bandwidth  +-4.5 KHz, +-6.0 KHz or +-8.0 KHz when needed.  Easily done in DSP.

"Hello Joe the dirkatron is just FB OM.    I am repairing my fallen dipole after heavy wind.
I plan making an appearance within a week or so.....Dirk"

Wind also took out his tower a number of years ago.  I think the top two sections of a Rohn BX tower.  I have the two sections here, but I'm in NJ and Dirk is where??  Anyway, good to hear he is doing OK FB.

Joe, thanks for letting us know.
