I have this book in my ham library. I always thought the Thordorson transmitters would out weight every other transmitter pound per watt. Their engineers must have been told to find every possible way to incorporate as much Thordorson iron as possible in every design.  Grin

Thordarson reissued and updated the transmitter document a number of times back in the "good of days"
They also had one for Audio.
RCA also had their transmitter guide document (also reissued and updated a number of times) with  lots of great transmitter designs.
Stancor also had a similar document.

I believe our member Patrick has the full set of Thord data on his Bunker of Doom site.

Give me one of those solid, gorgeous rigs any day, compared to a modern rice box. It's discouraging to contemplate what finally happened to them.

Consider posting this stuff in the Printed Material section for archival purposes.

I have to agree with Mike above - - it's like Thordarson tried to use as many transformers as possible in every design, which also makes it all the more difficult to think about duplicating one of these things today.  It reminds me of the Duracell LED flashlight that uses AAA cells which I bought recently.  It eats batteries like popcorn, and of course now I tell myself "What did you expect from a battery manufacturer?"

That being said, it's a neat booklet.
