Anyone Buy From "W4RT" Online??

Ought to have done more homework it is looking like.
They are "authorized" distributors for BHI's DSP boards.
Their site offers installations for various products too.
http://www.w4rt.com/

I placed an order for the DSP noise eliminating board for the TS-440.

No sign of the package.
No response to emails from two different accounts.
The phone line given by BHI in England under their dealer page: https://www.bhi-ltd.com/dealers/dealer/w4rt-electronics.html  rings to a fax.
last time I used a fax was years back now.  Do I have to fax them??

The other number associated with their "parent company" does not work.

Red Flags.

They say on their site that they will respond to emails within 24hours.
It's been a couple of weeks now.

It may show up yet. Dunno.
Thinking of calling the credit card company, and ordering from England instead.
Was thinking to support the US distributor, and save the hassle of overseas shipping.

Other sites reveal there have been "issues" in terms of dealing with these folks in the past.

Anyone know anything here??

PS. sent an email of inquiry regarding this to BHI in England earlier today, see what they have to say...
after all, these people do represent them in the USA...

Or,  the real business is Optical,  E T C

256-880-8207

This guy has more holding and shell companies than Carter has pills.

But,  this should get you into his bread and butter.

His business office is a small strip center,  that goes up to unit I.   Magically,  he uses suite letters above that.

I bought from him,  once.   Arrived fine, no problems.

Good luck

Shane,

Tnx for the cell # will try that...

How long did it take from the time you placed the order to the arrival??

And how does it do for you listening to 75m or 40m AM??
Do you have the module or the stand-alone box w or without the speaker??

The 8207 phone number either is hooked to FAX or is the one that is non-functional. Works out to be
almost the same thing...

From BHI in England:

Quote
Hi,
Yes I can get this sorted for you.  W4rt are moving at the moment and have a few issues so apologies for the problems you have encountered. Did you pay by PayPal or card? If it was card then I believe that no money has been taken from your card. We can ship you a module from here.  I will get hold of w4rt on Monday and sort it out for you.
Best regards
Graham

As I mentioned to Graham, would have been nice if they put a note to that effect up on their website...
