Hello guys,

Could anyone tell me where I can find a new (or used) working RF UNIT (X44-3210-00) (A/9) BOARD for my TS-870 Kenwood Transceiver or get the existing board repaired?

Contacted Kenwood and they could not help me.

Thanks,
Jerry

Thanks for the info Ken and Pete.

I thought I would give it one last try to fix the board myself and I finally found the problem.  A diode, D8 had opened up.  I did not have a part in the correct package type but I was able to solder in a 1N914.  Radio works great.

I'm 78 years old and used to working on stuff like the WRL Globe King.  This SMT
stuff is for people with good eye balls.
