Having a nice QSO with Mike WZ5Q on 21.430 at 16:00 hours UTC. His Elmac AF-67 has been regularly hitting 20dB over S-9 into Connecticut.

Another nice S-9+ 10dB signal floating into Connecticut from Larry - WB6QKO in California running a Ranger driving an AL-811HD amplifier at 16:45 UTC.

I'm listening to you Rob but my brand new Flex 6500 will no longer transmit. Goes back to Texas tomorrow for repair. Boo Hoo, and wouldn't you know it .. the band finally opens up and my rig breaks down! Time to haul the 32V3 back to the bench!

Must be something in the air. Rob, I can hear you ground wave and the 6 and 5 are both sounding nice on my Ten Tec Argo V as my 5000 is at the Drs in TX!

Sorry to hear that Dan. I know the Flex guys will get that squared away and back to you in no time. I just hooked up with Justin - K5WAZ running his ANAN-200D driving an ACOM amplifier out in New Mexico. The band is up and down but Justin is easy copy at this time. I grabbed a bit of audio from his last transmission to me and uploaded it to an mp3 file. He is not running any external audio processing and is simply running a microphone right into the front panel and letting the internal codec and OpenHPSDR handle everything. I also see several other signals up and down the band from us. It does look like things are loosening up a little bit. Hope to hear the big W7NGA signal up on 15 meter AM soon.

Hi Carl,

It amazes me how things work on 15 meters. I can usually hear most of the northeast guys regardless of their power level via backscatter or ground wave. When Chuck - K1KW is on he is often louder than the guys coming in from the west coast and he is 70 miles away from me!

Hope that Flex 5K is back to you very soon and that the issue is not anything serious!

The band is still rolling in and out here at 18:00 UTC and signals are still very workable. We have a nice group on 21.420 consisting of Steve - KL7OF, Chuck -K1KW, Larry - N5FAN, Bernie - WA6HDY, and Ed - N5AEA. It's not too often that 6 stations can work each other roundtable on 15 meters! Attached is a brief mp3 of Chuck as heard here running his big 4-400 homebrew rig and two screenshots of Steve and Chuck.

One last look at conditions on 15 meters today. The screenshot shows Chuck's signal as it was seen in the panadapter today via backscatter and the link leads to a YouTube video with about 2 minutes of how nice his homebrew pair of 4-400's x pair of 3-500's sounded this afternoon. Hey Dan, let's hope the conditions today are a preview of even better propagation throughout the winter.

Nothing serious. The PO/REF PWR circuit up and died. DOes show perfect SWR  Grin
Rig works fine otherwise, but it had to go back to Flex for fix. And since semi retirement starts Jan 4 and lull retirement several months after that, I wanted to get things in order to play with now!
