I would lose the transformerless power supply, and the 50 volt filaments.  Otherwise, not too bad.

Its well thought out having a buffer and no tail on AM. The basic thing could be adapted to any tubes, even old TV set tubes for almost free. Part of making a decent QRP transmitter depends on a good design so its convenient to operate and doesn't have annoying features with the signal.
I've always wanted one of those 'AM Phono Oscillators' to have continuous oldies and the like around the house, but most of the circuits so-named don't have so many features. Additionally, I thought it would be interesting to build it in a full size 5" or 7" rack panel with round meters, handles, and the rest of the nice stuff, even if the power is limited to 100mW for that use. Designs like this are a good starting point for any small transmitter project. Got a box of NOS 6J6s and 6GH8s. But no time.
