It's 8:00 P.M. and I am listening to Steve's new SC FET rig on 40 meters.

Worked Steve yesterday and he was, naturally, the strongest signal on the band

I Listened to Al and Steve Sunday morning around 10 AM and yes Steve, it sounded very nice.
Steve you were S9+10 and Al you were S9.

How was the bike ride Steve?

Al = bike ride  (it was great!)
Steve = hike up Wachuset

Yea I worked him about this time, might have been me on the other end. He was 30 over 9 and we had a very nice productive technical discussion.  He is getting the kinks out and sounding FB.

It's been really great talking with everyone on 40 meters!

Still working on perfecting the rig(s).  The SiC rig is supposed to be up at Rattlesnake Island, but I've been working on it so much that I bring the RF deck home after the weekends.

Hopefully soon, it will be done  Smiley

It will be interesting Steve to here your results and the challenges that surfaced with going to these new FET's.  We all know that in the most simplistic form they are being used as switches, but we also know that individual device parameters can be challenging in going from one type of FET to another.  On the surface, based on the data sheet it looks like it would be somewhat of a slam dunk but often that is not the case.
