Just for ha-ha's, here's my 40 meter CW transmitter...

It uses a Chinese DDS VFO to an IXDD614 and a single FET.  Output is 60 watts.  I key the power to the IXDD chip.  During receive, you need to turn the output pot down on the VFO to eliminate the carrier.  It's a minor inconvenience.

I'm building another transmitter that will have both AM and CW capability.  I've ordered another Chinese DDS VFO kit ($16 shipped, can you believe it?!) for the project.
