Just for ha-ha's, here's my 40 meter CW transmitter...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqsxzsrlJkUIt uses a Chinese DDS VFO to an IXDD614 and a single FET. Output is 60 watts. I key the power to the IXDD chip. During receive, you need to turn the output pot down on the VFO to eliminate the carrier. It's a minor inconvenience.
I'm building another transmitter that will have both AM and CW capability. I've ordered another Chinese DDS VFO kit ($16 shipped, can you believe it?!) for the project.
