I guess ARMY MARS is going to stick to it to the bitter end.
I was in Army MARS and dropped out. They have managed to make it so complicated to be a part of the organization. There are achievements to be completed, massive amounts of documentation to read and be tested on. I almost went through a ream of paper printing all of their PDF's and thought...."Wait a minute. This is what computers do. Computers kill trees. Print Print Print" I stopped and asked to be dismissed from the group.
A lot of the guys spend the entire day doing this on the air thing and going through their updating all of the documentation and issuing new PDF's, new spreadsheets etc etc. And the messages still look like old teletype messages with the long headers and message ends in NNNNN Geesh,,,,time to modernize!!
