No commercials on Netflix and effectively none with Tivo.

I should look into that.  Our Comcast service with basic cable, some movie channels, internet and landline is running $230 / mo.  I can just imagine what it would cost if loaded up with more movies. And most channels are loaded with commercials.

BTW, I did a quick test to see if the commercials were sync'd on a bunch of the major cable channels and found they were quite random.  I also read that they make an effort to sync them to stymie channel flippers, but I see no real evidence of it.   Try it and see.

The Tron was once talking about making an invention that would sense the commercial code and defeat the commercial somehow.   Surprised its not hawked on 2AM TV ...  Grin

Use an "AM Courtesy Filter" to limit transmit audio bandwidth  +-4.5 KHz, +-6.0 KHz or +-8.0 KHz when needed.  Easily done in DSP.
