At around 1730 UTC I saw quite a ruckus going on from 21.400 up through 21.430 which I presume was the 15 meter contingent of the Navassa DXpedition. At any rate, I called CQ on 21.440 and got an immediate reply from Dan - W7NGA and we had a nice chat for about 25 minutes at which point the stations calling the DXpedition began to slide up into our bandpass. Propagation between Dan and I was not spectacular with our signals running in the S-5 to S-9 range but it was pretty much easy copy both ways. You can hear how nice Dan has his Flex 6300 set up in the mp3 file attached below. The ANAN screenshot is of the DXpedition madness which gave me the opportunity to enjoy my second hobby of finding the most horrendous sounding (and looking) SSB stations for my IMD Hall of Infamy scrapbook.

One thing I'm certain of is that there is too much certainty in the world.
