Does anyone know if the same trick with inputting audio to the modulation input on the accessory terminal will work with the IC-751A as it will with the IC-735? Does it still bypass the mic preamp/tone shaping stages?

I am still wondering about this as I still may be thinking of looking for an IC-751A. Anyone know?
