The band was dead quiet. On a whim I called CQ a few times to see if anyone was about. Much to my amazement I got a return call from Steve, VK4VN, in Brisbane. He was +5 to +10 IN New Jersey and I was S8 to him. The QSO didn't last long as conditions changed, but it was interesting while it lasted.
