Conditions were excellent this morning on the east coast between 1500z and 1600z. As I tuned around I came across Aldo - IW5EKR on his 40 watt mobile and so just for fun I gave him a call with the ANAN-100 running QRP with 5 watts of carrier. We had no problem chatting back and forth that way for around 5 minutes. I warmed up the pair of 3-500's and moved up to 29.040 and worked a nice list of stations non-stop:

IW5EKR - Aldo (mobile)
GW8TBG - Mervin
DO6RAG - Reiner
G8NOF - Glenn
IK1BQD - Silvio
F6FEC - Mark
I2XIP - Mauro
F6BXQ - Marcel
G8OSZ - Steve (mobile)
M1PVC - Paul
GJ3YHU - Dennis

I recorded Dennis who was using a Kenwood TS-950 SDX coupled to an SDR FunCube Dongle that was connected to the 8.831 MHz IF output of the 950 and he reciprocated with a recording of my station. The band is still providing very good signal levels at 1700z.

I was watching and listening to my remote SDR receiver this morning and saw a number of stations on. Some from 5 land, and some from Europe. Wish I were in front of a rig.
