I stumbled across this audacious DIY chassis.

We tend to think in terms of traditional chassis and front panels, here's another way, over-the-top and expensive, but still... would be sweet for a little SDR receiver or even a Hermes type unit?

It's real interesting. I always liked machinist but have never done it nor can afford a mill that would do what your picture shows. let alone the maybe expensive block of aluminum that was made from!

Heck, I'd take the floor sweepings.
Make a darn nice pillow for Robbie.

His old one is getting kind of matted, oil and grime soaked and other
stuff best left to his kind.  Grin

Standard stuff for high end RF systems - each circuit section has it's own partitioned area with all the ins and outs via decoupled feedthroughs.
