Heard Ron calling CQ on 15430 at 19:58z.

Called him thru ant tuner in FT-1000D into 70' doublet tuned up on 7290. No workie.

Retuned properly and popped AMplifier on @ legal limit.

Had a nice contact with Ron in Alabama starting at 20:16z. He's using a Ranger into a 30L-1 with 572Beez.

Later heard Ron working some guy who was trying to get his audio together but couldn't grab his call. Not enough modulation.

Things are warming up for those who put some effort fourth.

Dave,

I think I found your problem.

15.430 Mhz isn't in the ham bands!  Shocked

I too heard N4RT, N3JDO, and K7EWE testing.

I think the band is improving. Unfortunately, my neighbor called and said I was interfering with the Seattle Seahawk game and his AM radio. Though we have 10 acres, the end of my longwire is just 200' from his home down the hill from us. The Alpha 89 linear running the legal-limit saturates everything he owns apparently! I'm stuck with 80 watts from the 32V3 which is more than enough if conditions are good.

Hope to work you soon ... 73's

I should quit multitasking. 21430 it was as you know. Need a part time job as proofreader?

Have the guy with the AM radio try repositioning the receiver a few degrees at a time if it uses a loopstick. If not you should be able to help him out somehow.

I hope he gave you a good audio report Dan!
