Hammond Help for Hart

Hello -

I'm in need of any tech data available for a Hammond 1614 audio interstage transformer.

I can't offer the hand of either of my already-married daughters, and I've already given away all of my kingdom, but if you can come up with any data on that transformer, I'll send you a nice certificate of appreciation!

And while I don't particularly want this posting to go to the "Wanted" category by offering money, let me just whisper sshh! (I'll reimburse you for the reasonable costs of helping me.)

Are you sure it's a 1614? I've looked at current and older Hammond transformer catalogs and didn't find a "1614" transformer. I did find a Hammond 1615 in 2 separate Hammond catalogs. The older catalog is available to download at the following link:

The older 1615 transformer has the following specifications:

Output tubes are Push/Pull 2A3, 6A3, 6L6, and 6V6
Power rating is 15 watts
Primary winding is 5000 ohms CT
Output taps are 3.2, 6.4, and 10 ohms

The current Hammond catalog found at the following link,

has the same transformer, 1615, with very similar specifications

Power rating is 15 watts
Max current either side is 100ma (I could be wrong but I suspect the older 1615 has the same current rating)
Primary winding is 5000 ohms CT
Output taps are 4, 8, and 16 ohms
