Doggone Chinese hackers.
June 8th - SOLD!

May 31 - I am re-posting this ad for a retired ham friend who is not on this board.  I have not seen the amplifier.  After he described it to me, I told him that AM’ers would be interested in it, and probably would want to make it a plate-modulated PA.

As he described to me in an eye-ball QSO :

He has a home-brew linear amplifier which uses a pair of 813’s, probably built in the 1950’s.  He obtained the amplifier from the original builder many years ago.  The last time he used it, it worked o.k.  It has not been used in many years as he uses a newer linear amplifier.

The unit is stand-alone (not rack-mount), standing about 2 ½ feet high, with self-contained power supply.
Band-switching, 80 – 10 meters.
Excellent shape/condition.
Runs off of 120 Vac.

He says the unit is well built.

The unit is free for the pick-up at his home in the northern suburbs of Philadelphia, near the Fort Washington interchange of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Route 309.  He says it is two-man lift.  He is not able to help lift it out of his basement.
