Just finished up with G0LQZ who was running a barefoot Icom and 1/2 wave vertical.

Started at 20:07 UTC. 23 minutes of across the pond AM!

Before that was GM0IQI at 19:53 UTC

The band had faded out earlier but came back like the bad guy in the end of a horror movie.

Saw 6 or 7 blips on the fish finder in the AM area while this was going on.

...zzzzzzzz...

Huh? What? 3 PM is naptime here! I already played this morning:

GW4GNY
G4DPH
F6DMD
M3TNL
DL5XU
G8NOF

Heard Chuck K1KW @ S-7+ on backscatter
Heard Rick VE6CQ creating a non-stop pileup of stations across Europe.
Heard Aldo IW5EKR quite loudly at one point

The band was a bit unstable when I was messing around between 11AM ~ 12:30PM (EST) with signal strength moving fast from S9+ to the threshold of audibility in just a few seconds. Fun to play around though as lots of stations were in there.

So... back to my nap...

Quite right. 11 to 12:30 local the band fades to Yerp and fakes out a lot of folks.

Later it comes back in!!!
