Here’s a guaranteed-never-used  B&W CX 96A butterfly capacitor for your super-sized RF amplifier, super-sized antenna tuner, or just your super-sized hamshack conversation piece!

Butterfly caps are best for symmetrical tuned circuits with high RF capacitor currents where low losses are a high priority, because the high RF currents don’t flow through the usual lossy rotor wiper-joints.

It’s 17" long tip to tail, 8" wide and 6" high.  It has 10 stator plates on each side for 20 total, and 10 rotor plates.  The meshed plate spacing is a full 0.500 inches, and according to ARRL’s data, can handle 13,000 volts.  I measure the capacitance as 100 pf. per side.  A centering adjustment is on the rear mounting plate and shaft diameter is 3/8".

Send me $150. via Paypal or USPS money order, and I’ll have it towed to the post office and on its way to you.  If you're not in CONUS, write for shipping costs.
