I only had limited exposure to plasma physics as a ee undergrad about 30 yrs ago but I did about 6 months work under a phdee and what I saw tends to make me think this is a pipe dream …  plasmas hate to be confined and are unstable in even a static configuration …. getting 6 of them to 'follow rules' easily seems unlikely
