I came across this article tucked into a book in some estate items I was going thru. It's from Radio and Television magazine March 1953 issue. The added high res picture allow you to read the article.

Great posting Steve.  I wonder if Fred Shaw, W3ADV (sk) had anything to do with that.  Fred was a member of the Phil-Mont Radio Club.  I am sure Bob, W3NE may be able to add something concerning the van.

I don't recall Freddy, W3ADV having any involvement with a city mobile unit. He was installing a 10M AM station in the Franklin Institute around that time.
