Memories of B-29 radio operators make for a fascinating read, including a detailed account of the last air mission of the Pacific war by Clyde V. Hussey, former KM4RC. It's just one page of our site dedicated to veteran remembrance and radio position restoration of "FIFI," the last flying Superfortress, a joint project of the Commemorative Air Force and Rockwell Collins Amateur Radio Club: www.b29radio.com

PS: Clyde's call has been passed on to FIFI, now KM4RC for all aeromobile operations. We can't imagine a more appropriate alphanumeric for the aircraft.

Also, Mr. Hussey comes from a ham family and we look forward to publishing more backstory, including his father's experience with some very early Collins amateur radio gear.

Stay tuned!
