Got an e-mail from Rick - VE6CQ this morning indicating that he was seeing an opening from the Canadian Rocky Mountains out to the east coast. When I fired up there he was banging in with a signal as high as 20 dB over S-9. We enjoyed a pleasant half-hour of AM going back and forth effortlessly.

The picture shows Rick's nicely behaved AM signal with a sideband station 15 kc below us that is wider than Rick's signal. Unfortunately, this is not a rare thing to see on the upper bands.

One thing I'm certain of is that there is too much certainty in the world.
