Viking II working now.

 Well so far the Viking II seems to be working after thinking I had a shorted T2. T2 was getting so hot one could have fried an egg on it I mean smokin HOT! Seems the previous owner installed a PTT system which looked to be a half way decent install. Come to find out there was a pinched wire underneath a standoff which grounded the bias side of T2 the PTT was taking power from this side of T2 to power the PTT relay. I looked in this area several times and never saw anything until I decided to remove the PTT system and bingo! there it was. Sure hope there wasn't any other damage done by this short especially T2  I think I'll keep the Viking on the bench for awhile and monitor things before the covers go back on.

Aye, I smoked a Vike II HV tranny two nights ago....no fusing....sigh.
