For Sale: Very nice Halicrafters HT-9 with original manual, and all (I believe) tuning coils and final amp coils for 160-10 meters. Will also throw in the EV 638 mic that I have been using with it. This is the Grey version, probably mid 1940's vintage. Someone in the past has installed a very well done PTT circuit. I have used this transmitter with very good reports on 20 meters. For some reason, I couldn't get it to tune properly on 40 meters, and I haven't tried to tune it on any other bands. I get about 70 watts of carrier output on 20 meters. This rig runs a single 814 tetrode in the final position. The modulators are a quad of 6L6's. OSC and BUF tubes are also 6L6's. Rectifiers are 5Z3's and 866's if I recall correctly. This is a W0ZUS auction find, and like most of his stuff, it was well cared for. Good news - $350 for everything. Bad news - too big to ship, pick up only in Knox, North Dakota.
