The obsession is taking over. This afternoon I picked up a National NC-303 receiver with the X303 crystal calibrator. The cabinet could you some paint and the Xtal calibrator seems to be off during a quick test, but overall receives rather well. It will join my new-to-me fully refurbed Valiant and a 75A-3. I don't know which receiver will be here for the long term but maybe after a runoff (receiveoff?) we can decide on a winner. No interest in SSB with either, probably a bit of straight key CW and, hopefully, a bunch of AM.

Congrats on getting an NC-303.  I have had one since 1973 and enjoy using it quite a bit.  Right now its time to rehab it since all the components in it are original and its starting to misbehave!
