Looks my transmitter search is over. Driving to Brunswick, GA to pick up a Valiant 1. Its in decent shape at a very good price. Its had the audio mods already done. I had posted earlier about a Valiant 2 transmitter.

Any gotchas with respect to operating this transmitter?

Is there a condensed tune up procedure?

At first go slow into a dummy load and watt meter, following the steps in the manual.

Then as time goes by, the tune-up procedure will "condense" itself as you become more familiar with what needs to be done and what to look for.
