Hi curious if anyone knows which filter is used for am transmit in the ft-990 i have tried changing and jumping out just for test purpose the cf2002 and cf2001 cf2001 seemed to open up the am recieve but not transmit im direct to the balanced modulator the lows go way down but my highs die at about 2.5khz which is i think no better then stock on the highs is there a recommended value of cap to feed the ic through i think i have a 47uf  in there now

Thanks

Try 2.2 uF.  I've found that to be a good value.  47 seems too high.
