Hi all,
I have an older desk top Henry 2K, the type with the two tear drop meters and separate pedestal power supply. This uses 3-400 tubes, but I doubt if they have a total of 100 hours use since the amp was new. I got this unit around 13 years ago from the original owner, an older member of our local radio club, he got it to keep in weekly contact with his son (also a ham) who had moved to Arizona, as I remember. The rest of the time he was seldom, if ever, on the air. When his son moved back to NJ after maybe 3 years he never used the amp again. I ran the amp for a couple of weeks after I got it mostly on AM linear service, even with long transmissions the power supply hardly heated up at all. This was built when "heavy iron" was the rule for power transformers in 1kw amps, a far cry from more "modern" units that use a power xfmr that looks like is more suitable for a large receiver than a kilowatt amp. Price is $600, but I can't ship this unit - I'll have enough trouble just getting the PS part of it out of the basement shack! I'm located just off I-80 in northwest NJ, near the Delaware Water Gap. Call me at 908 362 8502 almost any day (before 10 PM) or email
