We have no degrees this morning.  None positive, none negative, just none.

During a cold snap last year in Florida where comatose iguanas were falling out of trees from hypothermia, and one morning's Key West temp was less than that in Ketchikan, Alaska,  a couple of folks from down that way posted to the Volvo XC Forum wondering what was causing an LED warning light they had never seen before on thier dashbords to come on -turned out to be the freeze warning that comes on at 37 F, and goes off again at 22 F (by that temp Volvo figures you know its cold out already....)...all the way up to about 15F at 11 AM here.  When I got into the car at about 7, the IR scanner said the interior temp (read on several locations including the seat fabric) was about -15 F, guess that the radiational cooling literally sucked the heat out of it, air temp at the time was about zero F.

I experienced -30 in Elizabethtown, NY back in the late 70's on a ski trip with a couple of friends. I hope I never have that experience again.

Don't need an LED to tell me that it's freezing.  The ice on the windshield says so long before I even think of putting the key into the ignition lock.  Grin [Which it has more than once this season.]

What's worse than chronic cold weather is to be teased by a few days of 60's and 70° weather like we just had.

This morning it was 17° and the only ones enjoying that are the dogs.

-30 is good for you.   Cool

It is almost normal here at last.  A few inches of snow, more on the way, even got a bit below zero a couple times (-7).   But, still not like a few years ago.  I guess the days of -20 and one or two feet of snow are over.
In another 20 years or so it will be Welcome to Jurassic Park.

March 16, 2013 - minus 15 deg F.  No worries though, it'll warm up all the way to 10 above today.  Tongue

Even for North Dakota, this is just wrong.

March in ND. 10 more inches due tomorrow. Woo Hoo!

Notice the bottom foot of the vertical is buried underneath the snow. Still seems to work OK.

Around 75 F here with a good breeze, sunny to partly cloudy, got the garage door open as I work on one of the transmitters. Scooped some leaves and an expired squirrel out of the pool earlier. Heading back out to the station in a few to tinker on the xmtr more. One of those rare times I have some 'radio time' these days!  Cheesy

I do have some snow pics from Jan/Feb though, just in case....
