I am selling a used Gates Radio Company Model 87FA4634 87 uH fixed RF inductor. The coil is very heavy duty with Micalex/Mykroy insulation, edge-wound from ¼-inch silver-plated copper, and rated at 10 amperes of RF. The overall length is 12-inches, and the coil outer diameter is 4-inches. The silver-plated coil has some minor tarnish on it from age, and this is easily cleaned if desired.

The original Gates porcelain stand-off insulators (4 each) are included.

It appears that one of the three Micalex insulators had broken or cracked previously, but this was skillfully repaired, possibly by the engineer who was responsible for maintaining the transmitter where this inductor was installed, and this has no impact on the functionality, etc., of this unit. The repair is barely noticable.

This is a very high quality inductor, of much better quality than the popular E.F. Johnson units, with typical Gates Radio quality; it is a very well built and rugged unit. Use it for your homebrew high power final amplifier, or antenna tuner project.

On Sept. 30th, the price has been reduced from $60.00 to $50.00, plus the cost of shipping to your QTH.

Feel free to to send me a PM at triodes@optonline.net

Thanks & 73,

Bruce

Real transmitters are homebrewed with a ratchet wrench, and you have to stand up to tune them!
