Just picked up a Heathkit c-3. The green eye (1629) is not so bright.
The schematic indicates 150v on pin 4. I'm reading 275v. Looks as if a new
1629 will be needed.
On ebay several months ago some one was selling a "parts kit" for the c-3 and if (that's a big IF) I remember correctly the kit  had several resistors and maybe some capacitors. Would this be a pratical way for parts and does anyone know this seller ? Thanks.  Bruce
OK, I got a new 1629 and went over the c-3 pretty good. The schematic showes 2 caps in the power supply at 20 uf. However in the c-3 they are 8uf.
Some one please tell me what effect this will have on the circuit. Thanks again.  Bruce
