We had off and on snow flurries all day yesterday, it actually began to lay in some places around here, not at my house though. Still had some snow on top of the mountain this morning.

I think Kim, KE3SX had at least 6 to 8" of snow.  I am not sure where he lives since he claims his QTH is halfway between lost and found Wink

HA!
I remember when you bought that, Pete...we were all preparing for the worst winter to ever happen. It was supposed to be BRUTAL!!!
It seemed to have slipped over to Europe..........ice age conditions.
The WX has very unusual characteristics lately. The large snow falls areas depend on for water didn't happen this past Winter.

Woke up to 8 inches of heavy wet snow Monday morning in central NY. 80 meter loop was almost on the ground with the bowed down pine tree branches. Took down the pop up fabric garage in the yard on top of a pair of motorcycles.  Sad
Still a bit of snow on the ground today, but it's mostly gone now.

Mine is a little cantankerous assassin. It takes no prisoners.  Putting it away for the season I burned a nice hole into my forearm when I reached over to close the fuel petcock.  Didn't know I burned myself until I smelled the burning flesh. no wimpy safety stuff but it does a great job.  Only used it 2 times this year.

We had only one snowstorm that required serious shoveling, 6" on the 21st of January.  The lawn greened up very early this spring and everything seems about 2 to 3 weeks ahead of schedule here on the CT shore.  One notable impact of the mild winter is that we lost a large number of hosta plants in our backyard planting beds, looks like skunks or moles dug them up.  I guess with the mild temps, a lot of the animals that normally would be hibernating, or otherwise laying low, were  a lot more active and therefore out foraging more than usual.
