No mention that I can find on their web site that it been submitted to the FCC for certification.

I guess if you get tried of playing the piano, you can play the radio:

They will be at Dayton again this year (saw the rig(s) several years ago) [Hilberling USA: Dayton inside spaces: EH0648 EH0649] so curious minds can ask questions.

The product brochure from their web site is attached. Nice looking rig.

Maybe in Germany, they take their ham shacks very seriously and have full decor. I love the overall style.

They are just using that Shimmel Baby Grand to sweep out the rig so it has that perfect 300hz-2200hz nosebleed corntester audio.

Looks like the Bang and Olufsen version a Ham transceiver and linear.
Shoot I wanted to see the munkey schwang on that big meter...

Looks like proprietary chips for the DSP...........SSB still sounds like quacking to me

We have arrived.

$17,570 isn't too bad a price, but did they say how much without the piano?

The Piano might be $60,000!!!

What makes this radio so,,,so ,,,,so special....It can pick signals out of pure noise 200dB down??? IT can make SSB sound like XM radio??

I'm sure that some people will buy it just because they can, and to be the first on their block to get one.  I don't knock it mind you, if you have the means and the desire,k go for it.  As for me, I've never owned a radio that didn't get me where I wanted to go (except maybe for my HW-17A), and all cost me in the hundreds.

Makes today's radios look like a bargain and a half, don't it?

TMC 1964/2012

GPT-750F2.....$9,409/$69,624
GPR90RX with cabinet.....$1,627/$12,039

Total: $81,663

Average home price in 1964 was around $13,000ish.

Attached is a photo of Hans Hilberling's home laboratory.

Rob, does this picture surprisingly look like your home lab too?

Hey I have a couple HP attenuators just like Hans....then I diverge
Dr. Rohde had his hand in this rig also. I guess they jacked the price when they saw the 1980s design of the FTDX5000.
