Gates BC-1T 1KW AM Transmitter. Great for Ham radio conversion, this Gates BC-1T is clean, in excellent physical condition and restored to operating condition. It is still on its original frequency and currently operable on 840 khz. There are four (4) 833 tubes - two for modulation and two for output power. One of the 833s appears weak, but the transmitter still works. The restoration includes a new dummy load, built to match the original with new, old stock (NOS) components. There are also new NOS 866 rectifier tubes and a solid state rectifier replaced the 8008 rectifiers. The audio input and drivers use 807 tubes.
Copy of manual included. Weighing in at 900 lbs, this transmitter is pick-up only in Haverhill - 30 miles north of Boston, MA. You are responsible for moving and disassembly, if necessary. The transmitter is at ground level. If you would like to see it fired up into the dummy load and hear audio, please arrange an appointment.
