I am offering a large, used, high-power 3-pole double-throw RF knife switch. This weekend, I acquired a DPDT RF knife switch as a spare that is identical to the one I currently use in my shack, so this 3PDT switch is now surplus to my needs.

This is a very high quality, military-grade switch, probably dating to the 1940s/WWII, with large 1" x 1" 2.5" H rectangular porcelain insulators for supporting each of the heavy duty switch contacts. It is military nomenclatured SW-225, contract no. A8085:CAUC 989-DAY-DE-RA.

The switch outline dimensions are 7.125" W x 8.0" long. The overall height when the switch is in the closed position is about 4 inches. It appears to be  somewhat similar to the kind of large knife switch you would see in the Frankenstein movies of the early 1930s.

As mentioned above, this is a used switch, in good condition, but I would give it a cleaning/wash-down prior to putting it into service.

It would be perfect for grounding your 450 or 600 ohm open wire transmission line when not in use, or for switching a common transmission line to two different transmitters, etc.  This type of switch (and of this quality) is now fairly scarce and hard to find.

The price is $75.00, plus the cost of shipment to your QTH.

Please PM me at triodes@optonline.net if you have any questions, etc., regarding this unit.

Thanks & 73,

Bruce

Real transmitters are homebrewed with a ratchet wrench, and you have to stand up to tune them!
