I've looked everywhere that I can think of, but I can't seem to find the specs on a Thordarson filter choke part number T16C22. It's an old one, probably late 30's or 40's. About 15 lb. Looks to be capable of about 400mA or so. I'm hoping it's a swinger. Can anybody help?

Thanks, Ron

Ron,

The Thordarson T-16C22 is rated at 500ma, 5-20hys swinging choke, 70ohms,  3000V insulation, 25Lbs.  The choke is shown to pair up with Thordarson's 16 series plate xfmrs, so it should be OK with 2-3KV DC.

Thanks a bunch Fred. May I ask where you found the info?

Thanks again, Ron

I too would be interested in where the info came from.

I looked in every Thordarson catalog I had, and didn't see it.

I have a similarly rated big Thordarson choke that was labeled as part of the Tru-Fidelity line. I can't find it's part number either, but fortunately mine had the specs on the tag.

I'd really like to score a copy of the Thordarson Broadcast Catalog (500 I think is the catalog number) that has the Tru Fidelity stuff in it.

The 16 series xfmrs are not in any of my Thordarson catalogs, but I have a single sheet with the 16 series.  I must have downloaded it off the net somewhere, can't remember.  I have many xfmr catalogs including the Tru Fidelity #500.

I need the catalogs to go with the 1000+ xfmrs I have.

Let me know if you need any other xfmr info.  I'll try to help.
