New to 10 meter AM

Been listening to 29.00-29.100. I found that there are still a lot of old transceivers around used to have a Halicrafters 2 peice. not sure of the transmitter but the REC was a SB 200. Wish I had it  back now Hi Hi.

My station consists of RCI 2950 10 meter mobile with an external 4 Transistor (MRF 455) rice box. it does  200 pep from an 40 watt carrier. My antenna is a vertical 1/4 Wave Starduster 40ft up Just got my general upgrade in Oct. Give me a call on 29.080 between 11am - 1pm weekly. Catcha on the band,

Welcome! You've come into the hobby at a good time. The higher frequency bands, like 10 meters are now really active with the return of the sunspots and the lower frequency bands have more AM activity than I've ever seen (probably the most since the end of the AM days in the 1960s).

Hi Tim..ditto what Steve said..by the way we have a local "gang" here meeting just about every day on 29.070 at 11:00am til whenever..since ur camped out a bit higher..come on down a bit and say hello..most of us are on directional arrays so someone should hear ya..there are some who do the older BA stuff and newer rigs are here too..we got no predjudice..just truely enjoy AMing is all......73 de DAVE
